Reflection:

Reviewing safety concerns, online etiquette, and copyright issues helped my students become responsible internet users. Through our classroom discussions on digitial citizenship my students and I gained a better understanding of our school and district policies on technology. Students were able to argue their points about the validity of our cell phone policy, as well as the internet filters our district has in place.

This project helped me better develop a plan to effectively use the Chromebook cart in my classroom. Each student signs a contract for a certain number computer and accepts responsibilty for that period that they use the computer. Each student has an opportunity to use th Chromebooks on an almost daily basis.

As an English teacher it is a constant battle to fight against plagirism and copyright violations with students. The videos and websites aided tremendously in my efforts to teach students how to write and research without plagarizing. Students also learned a great deal about shaing information safely on the internet. I believe this will help them a great deal as they move forward.
